The ages of the skaters in our club range between four years and over 60 years, showing that artistic skating is a sport for all ages.
The journey to become an artistic skater usually commences with Learn to Skate Casses conducted on Saturday mornings at Albany Creek Skateaway. There are three achievement levels of Star 1, Star 2 and Star 3 for skaters. Some more detailed information about these classes is located on the Skateaway website at Skateaway Albany Creek.
The Artistic Development Program, held on Saturday afternoons at Albany Creek Skateaway, is available to a skater who completes the requirements of the Learn to Skate Star 3 level. The Artistic Development Program develops skater skills in figures, dance, freeskating and precision. Additional information is available on the Skateaway website at Skateaway Albany Creek.

While progressing through the Artistic Development Program, a skater may commence private lessons with Jodie Johnson-Garufo or one of her accredited coaches.
Skaters who are coached in private lessons and undertake training may aim towards competitions and proficiency tests.
